Toot Sweets was invited along to the Wye Valley in May for a wonderful photo shoot which features in a blog by The Natural Wedding Company. The sun shone brightly and we met some amazing wedding suppliers who shared our ethos of natural weddings with quality locally sourced products that are also environmentally friendly and with a low carbon footprint.
The ice creams were served in beautiful chunky wooden bowls – for this photoshoot the Green Tea ice cream and Prosecco Sorbet was scooped up with an edible viola flower to garnish. The weather was so hot the ice creams were melting quickly so the photographer – Captured by Katrina – worked quickly to capture the images. Of course the ice creams and sorbet were suitably scoffed up in good time by all the wedding suppliers immediately afterwards. Naturally!
Not only were the ice creams and sorbet used in the bowls but generous scoops of the Pinksters Gin and Raspberry sorbet into a cocktail shaker along with some rhubarb vodka and a touch of prosecco – blimmin lovely. It didn’t stop there – the Prosecco Sorbet was up next, mixed with a big glug of Prosecco – these seemed to disappear even quicker than the ice creams on their own.
Although this featured the Toot Sweets ice cream Trike – we also have our vintage van available: a beautiful Citroen H in cream which can set up as an ice cream and milkshake parlour, prosecco & pimms bar, cocktail bar, mobile bar or vintage cream teas with coffees and hot chocolate. We can mix and match what we serve to your guests based on YOUR requirements – so a bespoke service with a beautiful, quirky and unusual vehicle! If you are hiring the Wedding Yurts then Lizzie has the most wonderful vintage bar that is set up with crystal glasses and flowers – simply stunning!
The rustic ice-cream trike was set up next to the Love Lotus glamping tents. What a lovely couple run this ethical business! Gorgeous lotus tents, nestled in amongst the trees with sumptious bedding and furnishings inside. The rustic Toot Sweets trike looked at home and would suit any bohemian, natural, outdoor, woodland or festival wedding perfectly as it doesn’t need to be plugged into electric and can set up in the middle of a field as needed.
The Wedding Yurt was, quite simply, stunning! The wonderful Lizzie had set up in the beautiful Wye Valley with the yellow fields in the background, the birds chirping from early morning to dusk, and a more peaceful setting we’ve yet to find. Inside the yurt had been transformed into a rustic dining area with tables from Blue Wren Barn and flowers by Honeysuckle Flower Company. Long tables with benches and chairs, decorated simply and elegantly with colourful glasses, herbs and chunky bowls with, of course, scoops of the Toot Sweets ice creams and sorbets inside which we can provide in quality waffle cones, environmentally friendly pots or in bowls of your choice if part of a seated meal.
But what a wonderful day was had by all. If you want to book the ice cream trike for your event or wedding then we would love to hear from you so contact us today!
